ONLINE REGISTRATION FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Can I access the Online Registration system from my smartphone or tablet?

There is not currently an app for Online Registration. Online Registration is best accessed from a desktop computer.

How secure is the online enrollment?

Online Registration uses a 32-bit, secure socket layer (SSL) encryption technology to protect information. The technology is similar to that used in other industries such as health care and banking.

Can I enroll more than one student?

Yes. Parents can enroll multiple new students in a household at one time, as long as you have not submitted an online registration that is still pending.

Can I start the registration or verification process now and finish it later?

Yes. You can save your work and continue where you left off if you log in each time with the same username and password.

Once my application is submitted, can I go back and make changes?

No, to make any changes to a submitted application you will need to notify the school office directly and they can assist you.

How do I scan the required supporting documents if I do not have a desktop scanner?

You can capture documents by taking a picture of the paperwork with your smartphone/tablet and emailing the image file to yourself. There are also several, no-cost PDF scanner apps available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. If preferred, a hard copy can also be hand-delivered to the main office at your student's school.

After submitting my student's enrollment information, why haven't I received a confirmation or status email regarding my application?

If you have not received an email confirmation after submitting the enrollment, please check your junk or spam folder and mark @district6.org email addresses as safe. Additionally, the confirmation and acceptance of online registration may take up to two weeks during the summer as school offices are unstaffed between mid-June and the first part of August.

Now that my student has been enrolled in D6, how do I access the parent portal, ParentVUE?

To log into your D6 ParentVUE account, use the same username and password you used to access Online Registration. There, you can view your student's calendars, attendance, schedules, report card, school information, emergency contacts, course history, and grade book information (for middle and high school only).

Who can I contact if I have questions about the online registration process?

If you have any questions about the online registration process, please contact your student's school.

If I complete the online registration process for my high school students, do they still have to attend the registration day in August for pictures and to obtain their schedule or make schedule changes?

Yes.  All high school students should still attend the physical registration day to obtain their schedule/make schedule changes and to get a picture taken for student ID cards/picture packets.  Students who have completed the online registration process and have paid their fees online, will be given priority in line for pictures and for schedule changes.

If students do not attend the physical registration in August, when do they obtain their schedules?

Students may obtain their schedule the first day of school, but they will not be able to make any changes to their schedule on that day.
